Born on February 8, 1980 in Lynchburg, he was the son of Kathy “Penny” Hope Johns Mays of Madison Heights.
Danny loved the spending time outdoors including camping, four-wheeling, traveling and according to his Mother, he always had a “need for speed”. He also enjoyed watching football. He was the father of Cody Hatch, Trevor Johns and Cohen Johns. He was a wonderful son, father and friend and will be greatly missed by those that knew him.
He was employed at Craft Collision Center and the family would like to express their gratitude for everything that they’ve done for Danny.
Danny always looked to help others so it’s fitting that in his final act, he did so by organ donation. The family would like to thank his doctors, nurses and the staff at Lynchburg General for the love and compassion they showed to Danny and his family.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, November 26, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
Those wishing to make memorial contributions in Danny’s name are asked to consider the needs of his children and family.
