David Allen Davis

Born October 5, 1958 in Bedford, he was the son of the late Samuel Monroe Davis and Mamie Gilliam Davis. He was a member of Palestine Baptist Church in Huddleston.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Davis is survived by two daughters, Kari Stanley of Salem and Tonya Davis of Amherst; three brothers, James Lee Davis of Gladys, Isaac Samuel Davis and wife Angela of Lynchburg, and Gary Wayne Davis and wife Lorraine of Roanoke; one sister, Clara Hubbard of Roanoke; a half-brother, Johnny Dunbar and wife Connie of Lynchburg and three grandchildren, Justin Stanley, Chasity Stanley, and Hannah Miller.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 16, 2012 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Jackie Carver officiating. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Buchanan.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Whitten Monelison Chapel and other times at the residence.
