I worked with David at Altavista Leggett. He was one of my favorite Managers. I loved catching up with him in Lynchburg and sharing stories of family and memories of our time in Altavista. He was very special to me. My prayers are with all of the family.

Dear Mary and Family members, I wanted you and the family to know I was thinking of you. I remember you in my prayers and send my warm thoughts. I thought the world of David. We had talked by phone a few times since I left Fairview. I knew his health was precarious at times. I remember the episode he had while I was at Fairview. My fondest memory of David is the time at Fairview we were having difficulty getting someone to accept nomination for Chairman of the Board. I approached David and asked if he would consider. His response, "I am not qualified". I said, "If you accept it I will support you and together we will get through it." His response, "that's good enough for me". He was a generous, gracious person and he loved a good time and laughs. I will be with you in spirit.
In His Service and with His Love,
