Born on December 14, 1944, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He and his kind demeanor and witty sense of humor will be sorely missed. He was the son of Henry and Martha Richter and honorably served his country in the US Navy. David retired from SEPTA in Philadelphia where he worked as a controller. He enjoyed spending time with his family and was an avid collector of O-Scale model trains. He was a long-time member of the Masonic Temple and had the privilege of serving as Worshipful Master. He had recently become a member of the Moose Lodge.
David is predeceased by his wife, Kathleen, who was the love of his life. He is survived by his sister, Susan (Denis) Lomax, his three daughters, Christine (John) McGettigan, Pamela (Robert) Hilty, Megan (Brent) McLaughlin, his nephew, Scott (Michele) Strachan, as well as seven grandchildren, Sean McGettigan, Jeffrey Hilty, Daniel Hilty, Sophia Haber, Jackie Bell, Bailey Mitchell, and Morgan McLaughlin.
