Cookie was born March 5, 1951 to the late Charlie E Raikes and the late Dorothy Kitchen Raikes.
Cookie had a green thumb and a love for flowers. She retired after 36 years from Krogers Floral department, but missed it so much, she went back part time for another 8 years, until she became ill. Cookie was a longtime member of Sandy Bottom Christian Church.
Cookie is survived by her daughter, Christie Torrence and two grandchildren, Nevaeh Torrence and River Torrence, along with all her feline family members. She is also survived by many cousins, friends, and lifelong friend, Linda B. Davidson.
The family wishes to thank Cookie’s caregivers at Westminster Hospice, Skyelar King, Tabitha Branham, & Wendy Cyrus, for the kindness and love shown to Cookie and her the family during this time. A special thanks to Betty Gillispie, Linda Hughes, Thomas Cox and Tim Johnson who went over and beyond showing love and support for Cookie.
