Donald William Falwell, 79, of Madison Heights, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 12:25 a.m. He has gone home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ whom he loved and served for many years.
Born in Campbell County, May 15, 1939, he was the son of the late Urban Edison Falwell and Ruby Lawrence Falwell. He was retired from the Lynchburg Foundry and Whitten Funeral Homes where he served for the past twenty years. He is a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 60 years Loretta Duff Falwell; three sons, D. Patrick Falwell, Randal Falwell of Monroe and Donna Layne of Lynchburg and Eddie Falwell of Gretna; three sisters, Jean F. Hicks and her husband Tommy, Sara F. Roach and her husband Ken and Karen F. Baber and her husband Edward; six grandchildren, Austin Falwell, Kristi Falwell, Aaron Falwell and wife Kalie, Laci Falwell Fore and husband Justin Bell Falwell and Pipper Falwell and one great grandson, Easton Falwell.
One sister, Lillian Miller and three brothers, Wallace Falwell, Ariel Falwell and Kenneth Falwell preceded him in death.
A service celebrating his life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. David Heerspink officiating. Interment will be private at Fort Hill Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
