

Born in Amherst, November 11, 1944, he was the son of Myrtle Gordon Miller Surber of Lynchburg and the late William Franklin Miller.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by four children, Ingrid Taylor of Wilmington, NC, Knight Miller of Lynchburg, Autumn Nesbitt of Charleston, SC and Summer Hubbard of Lynchburg; one sister, Jacqueline Tiller of Lynchburg; two brothers, Jeff Miller of Charleston, SC and Doug Miller of Bedford and four grandchildren, Savannah Revis, Zach Taylor, Madison Taylor and Joey Hubbard and one great grandchid Kamuy O’Neil.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Reverend William J. Watson, III, Rector, St. John's Episcopal Church officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to either the Monelison, Amherst or Pedler Volunteer Fire Department.
