Donald Lee Smith Jr.

Donald Lee Smith Jr, known by many as Butch, went to his heavenly home on March 2, 2022. Born August 16, 1962 in Lynchburg VA, the son of Donald Lee Smith Sr. and Vivian Ann Mullins Smith. Butch was a lifetime resident of Amherst County where he enjoy fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family and friends. He was formerly employed by Lynchburg Parks and Recreation. He is survived by his son Justin Robertson of Madison Heights and his daughter Amanda Robertson of Lynchburg. In addition to his children, he is survived by his 7 siblings, Judith Dawn Arthur, Lisa Marie Johns (Roger), Glenn Albert Smith, James Edward Smith, George Hubert Beverley (Wanda), Joshua Robert Beverley (Mary) and Joseph Howard Beverley (Lisa) all of Amherst County, and his two beloved grandchildren, Mason and Lilliana. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and his fishing and hunting partners including Lester Toller, Chip Brooks, Wayne Johns, and David Cash. He is now at peace at the heavenly fishing hole where he will out fish everyone and continue to make everyone laugh. A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, March 11, 2022 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
