Edward "Eddie" Reed Loyd

Edward Reed “Eddie” Loyd, 55, of Madison Heights went to be with his Lord Sunday, April 29, 2018. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Jannine Loyd.
Born in Campbellsville, Kentucky, March 3, 1963, he was the son of Mary Evelyn Smith Loyd and the late James Ira Loyd. Eddie was the co-owner of Dirt Busters Cleaning service and was a member of Thomas Road Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by his son, Josh Loyd; two brothers, Thomas “Tiny” Loyd and his wife Kim and James “Junior” Loyd and his wife Angela; two brothers-in-law, Mike Fongeallaz and wife Michelloe and Randy Hirsch; two sisters-in-law, Jennifer Dawson and husband John and Rosemary Fongeallaz; one uncle, James Holt and wife Sharon and a number of nieces and nephews, J.T. Loyd, Jessica Loyd, Nathan Loyd, Allissa Loyd, Elija Loyd, Sadie Loyd, Cora Loyd, Derek Loyd, Ruby Loyd, Allan Fongeallaz, Jr., Seth Fongeallaz, Kaylyn Fongeallaz, Savanah Fongeallaz, David Fongeallaz, Christian Hirsch, Schylar Miller, Logan Hirsch, Jordan Dawson, Chance Dawson, Katie McHorter, Nathan Fongeallaz and Isaac Fongeallaz.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Allan Fongeallaz and one sister-in-law, Mary Hirsch.
A service celebrating Eddie’s life will be conducted at 6 p.m. Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Thomas Road Baptist Church, Pate Chapel with the Rev. Lew Wieder and the Rev. Ed Gomes officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:30 p.m.
The family requests memorial contributions be made in Eddie’s memory to the Thomas Road Baptist Church Benevolent Fund, 1 Mountain View Dr., Lynchburg, VA 24502.
