

Born in Monroe, October 6, 1945, he was a son of the late James P. Stinnett and Bessie Branham Cuneo. He was retired from the Amherst County Service Authority after 33 years of service and was a member of Monroe Church of God.
He loved taking care of his garden every year and enjoyed giving away over half of what he grew to friends. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed very much.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Blair Sines.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Elizabeth Stinnett; his daughter, Patricia Sines and her husband John; his son, Eddie Stinnett, Jr. and his wife Cheryl all of Madison Heights; one brother, Daniel Stinnett of Madison Heights; two sisters, Dolly Marshall of Madison Heights and Edna White of Amherst; six grandchildren, Jonathan Sines, Ashlee’ Stinnett, Zachary Sines, Blake Stinnett, Savannah Sines and Jayden Stinnett. He was also survived by his best friend, Junior “June bug” Staton.
A service celebrating his life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at the Monroe Church of God with Pastor James Witten officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Paul’s Episcopal Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2014 at the church and at other times at the residence.
