

He was born August 17, 1951 in Lynchburg, a son of the late Earl Lee Burch and Joyce Bowman Burch. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his best friend and soul mate of 24 years, Marilyn Dixon; his two children Jeremy Burch (Sarah) of Madison Heights and Diana Creammer (Dale) of Monroe; stepsons Will Knick (Cassie) and Tav Sensabaugh (Claudine) both of Lexington; his brothers Ronnie (Elaine) of Waynesboro and Jimmy (Anne) of Monroe; his sisters Carolyn Renner (Bernhard) of Evington and Deborah Thomas (Gary) of Madison Heights; his grandchildren Ben and Haley Burch, Cody Walker, Trevor and Anna Creammer, Piercen and Tatum Knick, Cody and Madison Sensabaugh and many special nieces, nephews, and friends.
Eddie was a U.S. Army veteran who served in Vietnam and in Germany. He retired with 26 years of service from Norfolk Southern Railroad. He enjoyed traveling, camping boating, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. Eddie was always known as the life of the party and never met a stranger.
A gathering celebrating Eddie’s life will be held, Monday July 11, 2016 from 6-8 pm at Whitten Monelison Chapel, 3966 S. Amherst Highway, Madison Heights, VA.
Graveside services with military honors by American Legion Post 16 will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday July 12, 2016 at Allwood Cemetery located at El Bethel Church in Allwood, VA with Pastor Brian Hudson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Eddie’s memory to The American Cancer Society.
