Elizabeth Thacker Curd

Born May 30, 1944 in Nelson County, Virginia to Cleveland C. Thacker and Evelyn Mays Thacker. She was a member of Bethel Church of the Brethren in Arrington. She worked at K-Mart and Walmart for many years as greeter and cashier. She also loved to dance.

She is survived by daughter Nancy C. Shotwell (Ricky), her son W. T. Curd, III (Mary Ann); grandchildren Brittany S. Stancil (Jess), Brandi S. Williams (Cody), Bailey S. Mullins (Tyler), Ashley and Johnny Folster, Mandi E. Reeves (Ryan), Dennis Ellis (Lindsay); great-grandchildren Laken, Maverick, Walker, Savannah, Caroline, Mason, Julian, and Arron; the father of her children William T. Curd, Jr.; sister-in-law Mary Ann Thacker; brother-in-law Alvin Arthur, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Cleveland (Buddy) Thacker; sisters Vera Mays Shelton (her son Billy Mays), Joyce T. Mays, Mary T. Arthur (her son Troy Arthur), Rebecca (Bet) Gunter; and grandson Michael Shotwell.

A funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 20th at 11 am at Bethel Church of the Brethren, 1921 Variety Mills Rd. in Arrington with Brenda Martin officiating. Family will meet with family and friends for one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
