

Born in Hopewell, February 24, 1953, he was the son of the late Tallie Otis Taylor and Thelma Spencer Taylor. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Coleman.
Gary is survived by his wife of 38 years, Bonnie W. Taylor; one son, Chad W. Taylor and his wife Jennifer and one daughter, Kelsey York and her husband Erick all of Madison Heights; three grandchildren, Caleb and Bree Taylor and Noah York and a number of nieces and nephews. He was also survived by two very special friends whom he considered brothers, Jimmy Price and Jeff Pultz.
Gary was the owner and operator of Medical Gas and Plumbing Co. He was a member of the Clinton Masonic Lodge #73 AF & AM and was a longtime and active member of Grace Baptist Church. Gary loved the outdoors; he was an avid hunter taking annual hunting trips to many places ranging from Elk hunting in the mountains of Montana to Wild Boar hunting in Tennessee. He was also an avid fisherman and especially loved his boat. He often fished off the coast of Cape Hatteras, NC for many years. Gary loved life and lived his life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A service celebrating his life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2014 at Grace Baptist Church with Pastor Dan Lee officiating. Interment will follow in Meade Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
