Born in Altoona, PA on October 27, 1931 he was the son of the late Walter M. Soult and Martha J. Soult. He was a member of Madison Heights Baptist Church and a retired Construction Superintendent. Gene loved woodworking and was often referred to as “The Lathe Man”.
In addition to his wife and parents he is preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Charlotte Soult; two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by three sons, Ronnie (Cheryl), Glenn (Cindy) and Victor; four grandchildren, Terri Booth(Terry), Ron Soult (Jeannie), Rev. Greg Soult (Maryanna), and Dr. Mandy Cassise (David); nine great-grandchildren, Taylyn, Kynsey, Ridge, Jolie, Evan, Brandon, Gavin, Josiah, and Hannah; a cousin Joyce Purvis; and a very special friend Barbara Stokes.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 pm Monday, August 30, 2021 at Madison Heights Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Soult and Dr. Todd Blake officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday, August 29, 2021 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
