Born on September 9, 1938 in Amherst County, he was the son of the late Edward S. Branham and Susie Johns Branham.
He was retired from the Howard County, Maryland Water Department. General Lee loved to work on electrical things especially Christmas tree lights.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Branham; brother, Preston Branham as well as two sisters, Pandora Thompson and Mary Propst.
Survivors include his daughter, Sue Branham; three brothers, Eddie Branham, Jr. and wife Jean, Wesley Johns, and Fonzie Branham; three sisters, Barbara Fulcher, Brenda Branham and Bertie Branham. He is also survived by three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 7, 2018 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
Following the service the family will host a reception at the Monacan Tribal Hall, 2009 Kenmore Road, Amherst, VA.
