Born on February 22, 1959 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Eddie Eugene Henson, Sr. and Josephine Stinson Henson.
George worked for Glad Manufacturing and he had a love for his farm and horses.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Raymond “Bobby” Henson and a sister, Delia “Sissy” Henson.
George is survived by his wife, Darlene; step-children, Kelley Watson and Philip Sellick; step-grandson Keaton Watson; and brothers, William Henson and wife Rebecca, Amon Henson and wife Laura, Eddie Eugene Henson, Jr. and wife Debra, and Bruce Henson and wife Tammy.
There will be a period of visitation from 6:30 to 8 pm on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
