Born in Richmond on May 3, 1955 she was a daughter of Ruth Ann Cook and the late Curtis Cook. She was married to Michael in Gladstone on June 6, 1975. Gloria was a member of the Amherst County School Board for 12 years. She also enjoyed her work as a retail Merchandiser and loved being on the farm especially raking hay in the hayfields.
In addition to her father she is preceded in death by a brother Larry Cook.
She is survived by her children, Christie Crouch and husband Daryl of Forest and Chad Walker of Amherst; siblings, twin sister Glenda Brickhouse of Virginia Beach and Vickie Haller of Hampton; three grandchildren “who were her everything”, Fern Walker, Atlas Walker, and Ellison Crouch; and two special friends, Cheryl Delong and Vickie Stinnett.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Wednesday, March 30, 2022 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Charlie Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Briarwood Memorial Park.
Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
