Born in Lynchburg on December 16, 1941 he was the son of the late Floyd Dinkins and Mildred Dinkins. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children, Tammy Spann of Lynchburg and Gordon Dinkins, Jr. of Madison Heights; and a granddaughter, Terra Spann of Madison Heights.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 am Thursday, March 3, 2022 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Edward Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
