Born June 2, 1923, in Amherst Co., she was a daughter of the late Ollie Newton Bryant and Maude Christian Bryant. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry W. Bryant.
Survivors include her daughter, Beverly B. Davis and husband Donald; a son, Stan L. Bryant and wife Cari, both of Spotsylvania; a brother, A. Gordon Bryant and wife Virginia, of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, Stephanie Cheatham, of Rustburg, Cindy Maddox and husband Chad, of Lynchburg, Scottie Davis and wife Dawn, and Shelby Bryant, both of Spotsylvania, 7 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 1, 2013, from 5-7:00 pm at Whitten Monelison Chapel, in Madison Heights, VA.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday at the funeral home, by the Rev. Jeffrey Worley. Interment will follow in Amherst Cemetery.
