Born in Amherst Co., she was the daughter of the late Edward Branch Saunders and the late Farrie Ruth Johnson Saunders. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three sons, Charles Edward Campbell, Duvall Campbell and Douglas Campbell.
Hazel was a retired employee of Craddock Terry Shoe Corp. after 34 years of service and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
She is survived by four grandchildren, Paula Ballas (Mike), Robert Campbell (Debra), Greg Campbell (Pam) and Dennis Campbell; eight great grandchildren; nine great, great grandchildren; one sister, Lois S. Hughes and one daughter-in-law, Shirley Campbell.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 31, 2018, at Amherst Cemetery. Whitten Monelison Chapel is serving the Campbell family.
