

Born June 11, 1936 in Amherst VA, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Connie Martin and Patty Floyd Martin. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mineral W. Bobbitt; son, Ronald D. Bobbitt; brother, Melvin J. Martin, and sister, Virginia M. Bryant.
She is survived by her devoted and loving daughter, Rebekah Masseth (Frank); sisters, Ozelia Hamilton (Les), and Barbara Turille; grandchildren, Christopher Masseth (Kelly), Lucas Bobbitt, Tonya Hatfield (John), Kevin Masseth (Liz), Jeff Masseth (Linda), and Jennifer McGowan (Bill); six great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and retired from C&P Telephone Company and CVS Pharmacy. She will be best remembered for her devotion and love for her husband and family. At a young age, her father taught her to play the harmonica and not so long ago, she played his with a sparkle in her eyes. Now they are making music in Heaven.
A graveside service will be officiated by Pastor Dwayne Martin at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 30, 2023 at El Bethel / Allwood Cemetery, 925 Buffalo Springs Turnpike, Amherst, VA.
