James Russell Campbell Sr.

Born December 16, 1948 in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Jimmy Miles Campbell and Geneva Crutchfield Greer. He was a retired truck driver with First Fleet.

Mr. Campbell is survived by one daughter, Patricia C. Robertson and one son, James R. Campbell, Jr., both of Monroe; one brother, Ray Campbell and wife, Patricia of Lynchburg; one sister, Patricia Dudley and husband, Frankie of Madison Heights and five grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Glynn Coleman officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Whitten Monelison Chapel and other times at the residence.
