Born May 1, 1951 (five-one five-one as he liked to say) in Lynchburg, he was the son of the late Homer S. Eubank and Dorothy W. Eubank. Besides his beloved parents, he was also preceded in death by his daughter, Melanie Eubank.
James loved to fish and he liked to talk about his fishing adventures just as much as he liked to talk in general. He loved Elvis and American History and happily shared knowledge on both because he never met a stranger. He loved traveling and seafood and was always full of ideas. He loved working at Brookville High School, which he did for many years, and he often said he had two grown children and hundreds of little ones.
He is survived by his children, daughter Theresa Henson, son Daniel Eubank; granddaughter Presley Henson; and two sisters, Brenda Erickson and Cynthia E. Carwile. He loved his family most of all and he will be missed tremendously.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Charley’s Restaurant, 707 Graves Mill Road. Light refreshments will be served.
Those wishing to make memorial contributions in James’s name are asked to consider Concord Rescue Squad, 12605 Richmond Hwy, Concord, VA 24538.
