Born December 2, 1951 in Houston, MO, he was a son of the late Earl Matthew Evans and Mary Gladys Bequette Evans.
In addition to his wife, James is survived by his son, James Matthew Evans, Jr. and wife, Tammy; daughter, Jamie Janie Evans and her fiancé James Michael Woods, II; stepbrothers, Robert Bequette, Don James Evans, Ronald Turner; stepsisters, Betty Boyer, Sharon Kaye White Stafford; and two grandchildren, James Michael Woods, III. and Clayton Lee Eicholtz and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2012 at Whitten Monelison Chapel by the Rev. Peyton Fitzgerald
