James Craig “Mick” Humphreys, 46, of Monroe passed away Sunday, December 30, 2018, at VCU Hospital in Richmond with his loving family at his bedside. Born October 18, 1972, in Lynchburg, he was the son of James Edward Humphreys and Barbara Tomlin Humphreys.
Mick was the owner/operator of 130 Garage and a member of Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, Craig is survived by two loving and supporting sisters, Beth Eubank (John) of Monroe and Kathy Fifer (Lesley) of Monroe; three nephews, Jesse Eubank (Kayla) and their children, Colt and Remi, Taylor Fifer (Alicia) and Benjamin Fifer (Ashley); and other loving family members, friends and customers that were too numerous to even begin to count.
The family would like to express a special thank you to Tuck and Betty Eubank for opening up their home and for their unconditional loving care and support to the family.
A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2019, at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Mike Fitzgerald, Pastor Jeffrey Campbell and Pastor Joyce Austin officiating. Interment will follow at Allwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Thursday, January 3, 2019, at Whitten Monelison Chapel and at other times at the home of his parents, James and Barbara Humphreys.
