Janet Bartley Osborne

She was born February 5, 1939 in Montebello, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late W.M. Bartley, Sr. and Louise B. Walker and Stepfather Rufus B. Walker. She was also preceded in death by her brother William M. Bartley, Jr. and stepson Ron Osborne.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, R.V. "Griz" Osborne. A loving mother to her daughter Sidona and husband O.B. Garriss, Jr., her fur baby Mickey, stepson Tim and Pauline Osborne, stepdaughters, Gail Dube and Lynn Osborne.

Known as "Meme" she loved and looked forward to seeing to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Leslie Taylor and son Levi, Matthew and Danielle Garriss and children Keira and Colton, and step grandchildren Alex and Austin Osborne.

She is also survived by her brother Michael Walker and sister MaryEllen Lawhorne and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, July 28, 2022 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Thomas Brooks, Sr. officiating.

The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.

Memorial donations may be made to the Lynchburg Humane Society or the Campbell County Humane Society.
