My sincere sympathy to the family of Buz Pierce. He obviously made this a better world and touched the lives of many. Buz was a childhood friend of mine while growing up in Jonesboro, GA. He was an all around athlete, great at everything he tried, football, basketball, track, high jump champion in Clayton County. I wish I had stayed in touch with Buz because he was special and a person I'm grateful to have known. God Bless you Buz and I know we'll meet again.

I was so sad to hear about Buz. I have not seen him in decades, but have shared his love of the Lord through my best friend, his sister, Sharyn. I Love this family, and rejoice with them as they have comfort in knowing that Buz is Home with our Lord and Savior. I pray for your peace in the coming days.

Dear Kathy, my heart aches for you, Mom, Sharyn, Marty, Tom....all those who loved Buz so much. He will be SO missed by so many. He was such a great brother-in-law...and just a good friend to me. I loved him so much. I have the best memories of our Christmases and Thanksgivings in Louisa that I will cherish always. Do you remember the first time I visited y'all and he made SUCH fun of me when he realized what a GIRL I was when he threw the football to me. He loved to tease but it was always done with sweet humor and kindness. I love you all very much. It is my intent to come visit you and Mom in the next few months. It's been way too long. I love you, Julia
