Worked with Delores for many years on the night shift. She was also a friend,we shared ceramics,Scrabble, going to the beach and many medical conversations. She was a mentor when I came back to VBH in 1977,and a co-worker. So sorry I did not keep in touch in the last few years. She was a great nurse and person.

I am so very sorry for your loss.I pray the Lord will be the Peace that will soothe you, the Grace that will hold you, and the Love to comfort you. Thinking of you in your loss.
I count it a great joy to have had the privilege to be some helping hands for Delores. I enjoyed our talks and her stories and the fact that she called me her adopted niece. Plus the many things she taught me.
I know there are no words that can fill the emptiness in your heart...but know that i care an am praying for you.

Gene, I am so sorry on the loss of your aunt Delores. You and your family have been in my thoughts and prayers. Remember the Lord"s gentle touch will always be with you. I am here if there is anything that you need.
I will surely miss the beautiful things she made for my grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her delicious crab cheese ball and taco soup. But most then anything I will miss my friend.
May God Bless you and keep you, Love your friend Ofelia

Delores was such a good friend and wonderful person. Many years have passed and I didn’t know how to find her, but she has often been on my mind. I often think of growing up with her in Fairview Christian Church and the activities we did with the youth groups. Her best friend was my cousin, Barbara Wilmouth. The 3 of us would wander all over Fairview Heights some Sunday afternoons. Delores, you were a blessing to your wonderful family and to all of us who knew and loved you.
