Sending my deepest condolences in this time of loss. Jeff was a wonderful and caring man - I enjoyed working with him at the Lynchburg Assessor's Office years ago - he had helped in a project we had - it was nice to have a Hero and an Amherst County Alumni. He also signed me up to the Pre-paid Legal program-which has been a Great help. Always, helpful-He will be missed. Lifting this dear family up in prayer for comfort and peace.

“Back in the day” in the old Coronary Care Unit at Lynchburg General Hospital, we frequently transported patients to UVA for heart procedures. Whenever that red headed fellow named Jeff Stern was on the Fire Department team for the transport, it was a good day! He was calm and knew his stuff and always had a twinkle in his eye. He was a good man, Lisa. I am so sorry for you and your family in this time of sadness. Please know my thoughts are with you.

I was stunned to hear of Jeff's passing. We interacted and shared insights occasionally as we both worked in the LFD. We crossed paths rarely as retirees, but Jeff always was busy pursuing his interests while looking after his family. Sorry for his passing in what seems too soon. Prayers for his family.

Jeff Stern was a great guy. Always caring for others needs. Way back in life , Jeff & I worked at Bid Tee. I got my mom a job there. (Short time). My mom came home one nite. Her uniform was very dirty. I asked what happened?!?! She told me the storie of Jeff locking her in the walk in cooler and open the window squarted her full of mustard & ketchup
We had many laughs over that.
I talked to Jeff a month or so, he looked like a very healthy man.
God please hold his family tight.
He will be missed.

I lost my dad 2 weeks ago, I can’t imagine what Jeff’s wife and 2 sons are going through, it’s never easy losing a loved one especially so sudden. Jeff’s son Adam and I grew up together and hung out some, Jeff was always a cool dad, he was always helping other people from his profession to his financial consulting business, always such a good guy that will be missed by many. prayers in the coming days for Lisa, his mother, his 2 sons and his sister Kathy and her family. ❤️🙏
