Jessie Haywood Staton, 68 of Amherst, passed away October 23, 2011.
Born February 27, 1943, in Amherst County, he was a son of the late Jessie Samuel Staton and Lottie Mae Staton. He was a United States Air Force veteran.
He is survived by many cousins.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2011, at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
