Joseph Francis "Joe" Lloyd

Born on November 5, 1964 in Mexico, he was the cherished son of Julie Dawson Lloyd and the late Robert “Red” Lloyd of Richmond and Jose Martinez Bocanegra of Phoenix, Arizona.

Joe was a fun loving, hard working, and kind hearted man. He enjoyed hunting, horses, and dirt bike racing.

Joe was preceded in death by his dad, Robert Eugene “Red” Lloyd.

In addition to his mother and father, he is survived by his wife, Temby; son, Joseph Paul “Ryan” Lloyd; sister, Carmen Martinez Bocanegra Dickey and husband Curt of Richmond; brothers, James Dawson Lloyd and wife Tracey of Hanover, Robert E. Lloyd, Jr. and wife Shannon of Bumpass, and John William Lloyd and wife Jamie of Bumpass; special cousin, Dwayne Lloyd and wife Connie of Gordonsville; brothers-in-law and best friend, Ricky Peters and wife Brenda and Roger Peters; sister-in-law, Dawn Peters and husband Josh Brown; mother and father-in-law, Paul and Betty Peters; special VCHSS family; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Whitten Monelison Chapel. A funeral service will be held at 3 pm on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at The Emmanuel Church of the Nazarene, 401 Dixie Airport Rd, Madison Heights with Stewart Jones officiating. Interment will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, August 30, 2014 at Gammon Lloyd Family Cemetery in Bumpass, Virginia.
