When my deceased beloved husband and I with our children moved to Pleasant View to open Pleasant View Grocery and make it our home, we had already met what we referred to as the Loyd Brothers in Elon. Joe was a good and faithful customer as long as we were open. To me Joe was the Center of Pleasant View. He will be greatly missed by all. A big empty place without him.

Thank You, Father God, for letting us know this godly man Amen.
Until we meet again in God's kingdom, so long Joe. <3

Joe Lloyd was one of the sweet memories from my membership at New Prospect. I always knew he would be there as a greeter on Sunday morning. He was always smiling. I marvelled at all the people he cared for. From Hilda, his mother to Tiffany & others. I was pleased when I heard he had married. Someone else to show him some love & care. Now he is in blissful heaven.

Kathleen, Kenneth, Family and Friends,
Our sincere condolences for the loss of Big Joe. He was a wonderful man who loved his family and the Lord. We really enjoyed the “talks” we would have. He touched so many lives by helping in the community. He will truly be missed by many. May God provided you all the strength you need to get through this most difficult time. Your sunshine will always be with you until you meet again in heaven.

Im going to miss hearing “Hey Silly.. Oh a Sally” on Sunday mornings or whenever I saw Joe. He’s been part of my life for as long as New Prospect Church has. He and Kathleen and Kenneth were one of the few families I shared my parents with and that means a lot to me. So many sweet memories of VBS and banana pudding and chewing gum. I grieve for all of us but I can’t be sad for him. He’s with our Lord and in the company of his sweet mamma. I know he’s smiling even now. Gods love enclose all that loved him.
