I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with her for years at PTC, she was always there to help and care for others. I was so upset to hear of her loss with depression. She can rest easy now. God bless you all. And may you find peace.

Ellen, JoJo & family,
I am so sorry to hear about Joy. I have such fond memories of her when Beth & I would come over to y’alls house all the time when we were growing up. I pray the Lord gives you all comfort and strength during this difficult time and thereafter.

My best memory of Joy was when she was about 4 or 5 years old. She and her family came to visit Mama Gillespie in Mills River. All of the kids we loved to go down and play in the river which wasn't far away. We saw a fish in the water and Joy didn't like it at all she thought it was a monster. So I had to pick her up and carry her back to the house. Which meant all of the others had to go back as well, because I was the oldest and was in charge of the younger ones. For the rest of that trip Joy was attached at my hip and I loved it!
Ray, JoJo and Ellen I'm terribly sorry for your loss and that all who loved Joy are suffering through this loss. You all are in my thoughts and prayers.
All my love
Sandy

I just saw Joy's face and obituary on Facebook and I was so moved, I had to respond. She has the most beautiful eyes and smile. Its so sad to loose someone so young to depression. I have suffered with this disease and anxiety most of my life. I pray for her family and know she is at peace.
