Judy Fitzgerald Stilwell

Judy Fitzgerald Stilwell, 73, of Madison Heights passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Cecil Harris Stilwell. Born July 23, 1943, in Charlottesville, she was the daughter of the late Beverly Cleveland Fitzgerald and the late Ossie Lorraine Bryant Fitzgerald.

Judy was a homemaker and attended Thomas Road Baptist Church. She had a love for camping as well as animals.

In addition to her husband and parents, Judy was preceded in death by four sisters, Jane, Elsie, Ann and Bonnie.

Judy is survived by four children, Lisa Campbell (Tony Viar) of Amherst, Cecil Harris Stilwell, Jr. of Madison Heights, Gregory Lane Stilwell (Sherri) of Madison Heights and David Brian Stilwell (Yvonne) of Madison Heights; one sister, Beverly Jerlene Terry (Jesse) of Madison Heights; two sisters-in-law, Frances Jennings of Madison Heights and Patsy Stilwell of Monroe; eight grandchildren, Ryan, Lindsey, Tony (Whitney), Willie (Breanna), Justin (Ashley), Corey, Brian and Samantha; six great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 3, 2016, at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Falwell officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Amherst County.
