

Born December 2, 1921, in Akron, OH, she was a daughter of the late Harry Stevenson Campbell and Siny Tet Campbell. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Harry W. Campbell.
Mrs. Morcom was retired from Schewel Furniture Co., after 25 years as a bookkeeper. She was a longtime and faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Monroe, and was involved in many groups and activities with the church through the years, due to her love of the Lord.
Survivors include her brother, John E. Campbell and wife Virginia; and three sisters, Helen L. Campbell, Christine M. Campbell, all of Monroe, and Ruth C. Hamilton, of Buena Vista; her half-sister, Kay Giles and husband Calvin, of Danville, numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7-8:30 pm at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, at First Baptist Church of Monroe, by the Rev. Glynn A. Coleman, with the Rev. Bruce Rockwell and the Rev. Charles Anderson assisting. Interment will follow in Briarwood Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Lynchburg General and at Fairmont Crossing, and to her nieces and nephews, for the care and compassion given to Mrs. Morcom during her illness.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to First Baptist Church of Monroe.
