

Kathleen Watson Anderson Phlegar passed away on December 24th 2015. She was born March third 1918 to the parents of Frank and Mary Jim Watson. She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband Robert Peyton Anderson, second husband Clarence Phlegar, daughter Betty Campbell and husband Wallace, sister Polly and three brothers Clyde, Roger, and Kelly, and son in law Ray Petrich.
She is survived by daughter Nancy Petrich, grandson Raymond, and great grandson Seth; son Robert Peyton Anderson II, wife Judy, grandson Robert Peyton Anderson III, great grandson William; granddaughter Sara Gundersen, great grandson Asher; Peyton and Sara's mother Teresa, She is also survived by grandson Mark Campbell, great grandsons Hayden and Daniel, granddaughter Amy Thomas; Step grandson James Collins, step children Rosie Hampton and Sandra Wiegand.
Kathleen loved playing the piano and had her own radio show on WLVA at 18 years old. She was playing the piano up to two weeks of her passing. She organized the Community Coral Club for the youth of the Monroe area. She also organized The Golden Merry Makers. She loved all forms of art and crafts. Kathleen was very well versed in the Bible and would challenge any pastor on the meaning of scriptures.
A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 28, 2015, at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor George Riggins officiating. Interment will be private.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
