Kenny is survived by his two daughters, Crystal Burks (Travis) of Amherst, and Jasmine Branham (Vernon) of Madison Heights; his seven grandchildren, Chelsea Burks, Trevor Burks, Hailey Burks, Abigail Clements, Eli Branham, Colson Love, and Remington Love; his three brothers, James Thompson (Pam) of Monroe, and Roy Branham (Margaret) of Madison Heights and Thomas Thompson of Madison Heights; and his sister, Serena Wright (James) of Lynchburg.
Kenny loved the outdoors and was passionate about woodcutting, masonry work, horseshoes, hunting, and fishing. He was a very social person who truly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Kenny was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and the Monacan Nation.
A service celebrating Kenny’s life will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 25, 2024 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Tony Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul’s Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2024 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
