Lee William Roberts

Lee William Roberts, 88, of Moneta, died Thursday, February 23, 2012, at Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of the late Mildred Gibson Roberts. Born March 9, 1923, in Amherst County, he was the son of the late Jesse Lloyd Roberts and the late Ethel Preston Roberts.

Mr. Roberts was a retired, self-employed plumbing and electrical contractor and a member of Radford Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge #2346 in Smith Mountain Lake.

Mr. Roberts is survived by his two sons, Larry Lee Roberts (Gail) of Forest and Jerry Lloyd Roberts (Brenda) of Madison Heights; his brother, Louis M. Roberts of Lynchburg; four grandchildren, David W. Roberts (Kim), Karen R. Dillon (Reed), Tracy R. Casto (Brian) and J. Michael Roberts (Mehgan McCrickard); and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted, 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 27, 2012, at Fort Hill Memorial Park with the Rev. Glynn Coleman officiating.

The family will receive friends, 4-6 p.m., Sunday, February 26, 2012, at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
