Leffel L. Duff Jr.

Leffel Leonard Duff, Jr., 72, of 160 Grove Avenue, Madison Heights, died Monday, July 21, 2003 in Fairmont Crossing Nursing Home, Amherst. He was the husband of Evelyn Jennings Duff. In October of this year, Mr. and Mrs. Duff would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

Mr. Duff was born January 14, 1931 in Amherst County, he was the son of the late Leffel L. Duff, Sr. and the late Miry Davis Duff. He was a retired furnace operator with Calgon Carbon Corp. with twenty-five years of service and a U.S. Marine Corp. veteran of the Korean Conflict. Mr. Duff was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Sandidges, VA.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by six children, Barbara D. Malarik and her husband, Michael of Monaca, PA, Timothy Duff and his wife, Margie of Evington, Tony Duff of Peoria, IL, Richard Duff and his wife, Marcia of Coraopolis, PA, Michael Duff of Madison Heights, and Kathy D. Kozlina and her husband, Joseph of Hopewell, PA; one brother, Preston Duff of Florida; nine grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Funeral services,11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2003 at Whitten Monelison Chapel by the Rev. Carl Davis. Interment, Briarwood Memorial Gardens, Amherst.

Family visitation, 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
