Lewis "Elton" Lawrence

Lewis “Elton” Lawrence, 90, of Madison Heights, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 9, 2023. Elton was born March 22, 1932 in Rustburg, VA. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 57 years, Mamie. Elton is survived by two sisters, Frances Reynolds and Levan Hall, both of Rustburg. Elton was a devoted member of Jordan Baptist Church. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at Cumbie Memorial Cemetery in Rustburg with the Rev. Dr. Melvin Campbell officiating.
