Obituary of Linda Coleman Hamilton
Linda Coleman Hamilton, 64, of Madison Heights, left this earth, Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Lynchburg General Hospital surrounded by her family. Born July 28, 1954 in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey Arthur Coleman and Secmantha Luelle Markham Coleman. Linda enjoyed making crafts and selling them at the Fort Flea Market. She was in management and a biscuit maker at Hardees and loved to travel. Linda leaves behind her longtime boyfriend, Levi Miller of Monroe; six children, Regina Bishop (Kathy) of Madison Heights, Tina Hamilton of Lynchburg, Michelle Drummond and her fiancé James, also of Lynchburg, Lynn West and her fiancé Danny and best friend Steve West of Monroe, Gail Cartwright (Melton) of Amherst, and Allen Hamilton (Duke) of Concord; two brothers, John Coleman (Mavis) of Arizona and George Coleman of Lynchburg; one sister, Secmantha Arthur of Altavista; 18 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor J. Mike Dodson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:30 p.m. Memorial contributions in Linda’s memory may be made to Central Virginia Sensory Enrichment, an organization that was near and dear to her heart.
