Born on July 28, 1941, in Lynchburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Charles D. Robbins and Mildred M. Robbins. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lawrence Southard.
Linda devoted her life to her family as a homemaker and was deeply devoted to those she loved most—her husband, Lawrence, and their son, Charles. She cherished simple joys, such as riding around with Lawrence, watching movies, and spending time in God’s Word. Linda adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her endless happiness. In her later years, she was lovingly cared for by her daughter-in-law, Connie, for which the family is profoundly grateful.
The family would also like to thank Gentiva Hospice for their exceptional care and support during Linda’s final days.
She is survived by her son, Charles D. Southard (Connie); her sister, Brenda Blankenship; two grandchildren, Ashley Lamm and Cody Wade; and four great-grandchildren, Joshua Lamm, Lucas Lamm, Addison Lamm, and Avery Lamm.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Fort Hill Memorial Park with Pastor Marvin Buise officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Thomas Road Baptist Church at www.trbc.org or John Hagee Ministries at www.jhm.org.
