Linwood Witt “Slug” Morris, 91, of Madison Heights, passed away Friday, June 14, 2019 at his residence surrounded by his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife of sixty-five years, Erlene H. “Judy” Morris.
Born November 16, 1927 in Campbell County, he was the son of the late John Witt Morris and Gracie Brightwell Morris and was also preceded in death by five sisters, Mary Barbour, Sadie Shaner, Odell Owen, Bernice Matthews, and Russel Holt. Slug retired in 1984 from AT&T after 36 years of service. He was a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corp. and the U. S. Army and was a member of Amelon United Methodist Church.
In addition to his wife, Slug is survived by his beloved daughter, Lee Ann Hahn and her husband Tom and his two cherished grandchildren, Falyn Hahn and Jordan Hahn.
Funeral services will be private.
