Lois Wade Lawhorn

Born December 21, 1940 in Lynchburg she was a daughter of the late Rev. Llewellyn and Gaynell Wade.

She was a member of Eternal Baptist Church and a homemaker who loved her family.

In addition to her husband she is survived by four daughters, Patricia Whitten, Ann Zenzen (Troy), Peggy Pettry (Byrd) all of Madison Heights, and Debbie Wray (David) of Lynchburg; a son, David Wayne Newcomb (Darla) of Madison Heights; two brothers, Pastor Sidney Wade (Shelby) of Madison Heights, and Dennis Wade of Lynchburg; a sister, Shelby Hall (Robert) of Evington; 19 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren; a special friend, Betty Lou Hendricks; close friends, Ronnie and Linda Womack; a special pet named Libby; and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 24, 2020 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Sidney Wade and Pastor Jeffery Wade officiating. Burial will follow in Briarwood Memorial Gardens.

Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Whitten Monelison Chapel.
