
Born November 8, 1932 in Appomattox County, she was the daughter of the late Russell Cleveland Bryant, Sr. and Anna Childress Bryant and was also preceded in death by one brother, Leo Bryant. She retired from General Electric after thirty years of service and was a member of the Monroe Church of God.
Mrs. Martin is survived by one brother, Russell Bryant, Jr. and wife, Faye; a very caring and devoted sister-in-law, Julia Bryant, all of Madison Heights; three nephews, Jeff Bryant, Lee Bryant, and Mike Bryant, all of Amherst; two special nieces, Diane Puckett and Carol Evans, both of Rustburg; a very special friend, Debbie Feagan and numerous other nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 9, 2012 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor Kenneth Alley and the Rev. Lenn Lloyd officiating. Interment will follow at Briarwood Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6-7:30 p.m., Sunday, April 8, 2012 at the funeral home and other times at Mrs. Martin’s residence.
