

Louise Atkins Cash, 90, of Monroe, died, Friday, January 28, 2011, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Henry Malcolm Cash. She was born November 3, 1920, in Caroline County, and she was the daughter of the late William D. Atkins and Lucy Skinner Atkins.
Mrs. Cash was a retired Service Employee for the Central Virginia Training Center, and a member of Bethany United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Cash was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald A Cash and Ralph Preston Cash; and one brother, Eugene D. Atkins; two half-brothers and one-half-sister, Leslie, Clarence and Betty.
Mrs. Cash is survived by five children, Malcolm Ray Cash and fiancée Lucinda (Lou) Turner of Madison Heights, Thomas Randolph Cash of Amherst, Betty C. Rooney and husband William L., Jr. of Springfield, OH, Sharon C. Foster and husband David W., Sr. of Monroe and Darlene C. Saucedo and husband, Rudy E. of Madison Heights; one brother, James Atkins and his wife Nancy of Fredericksburg; two sisters-in-law, Edith Atkins of Fredericksburg and Dorothy Cash of Appomattox; one brother-in-law, William Morris of Amherst; one daughter-in-law, Patricia A Cash of Madison Heights; twelve grandchildren, Malcolm Ray Cash, Jr. of Appomattox, Ricky Wayne Cash of Madison Heights, Timothy Dale Cash also of Madison Heights, Denise Fulcher of Monroe, Elizabeth Ann Cash of Madison Heights, Rhonda Furrow of Amherst, David L. Rooney of Austin, TX, Paul A. Rooney of Cincinnati, OH, David W. Foster, Jr. of Bedford, John B. Foster of Monroe, Angela D. Ripley of Lynchburg and Shawn M. Wilson of Madison Heights; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will conducted, 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 1, 2011, at Whitten Monelison Chapel conducted by the Rev. Shin Woo Hong. Interment will follow at Amherst Cemetery.
The family will receive friends, 6-8 p.m., Monday, January 31, 2011, at Whitten Monelison Chapel and at other times at the residence of David and Sharon Foster.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany United Methodist Church, 732 High Peak Rd., Monroe, VA, 24574.
