Lovie Lee Coleman

She was born April 8, 1924 to Fitzhugh Lee and Lovie Elizabeth Chumbley. She married George Coleman at the wonderful age of 72, and they shared several years together.

Lovie was a long time resident of Madison Heights where she lived since her childhood. She was a lifetime member of Madison Heights Christian Church where she was a long time member of the chancel choir. She retired from the pharmacy at Central Virginia Training Center. During her last few months of life, she was provided loving attention and care by her family members.

She is survived by her siblings: Elizabeth Boynuk, her twin Fitzhugh Chumbley, Jr. and his wife Loriene, Mary Preston Thaxton, and Gertrude Rucker. Lovie was also blessed with many nieces, nephews, and her dear friend Linda Childress.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with Pastor George Harris and Pastor Jack Hamilton officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service starting at 1 pm.
