Margaret Lloyd Glass

Margaret Lloyd Glass, 91, of Lynchburg, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2011 at The Carrington. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Glass, Sr.

Born December 17, 1919 in Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late William Ross Lloyd, Sr. and the late Mary Vest Lloyd and was also preceded in death by four brothers, James, Harlan, Otis, and William Lloyd; two sisters, Elizabeth Hamner and Edna Eades and one grandson, Brian Lindsey. Mrs. Glass was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She was a member of the First Assembly of God and attended Tree of Life Ministries.

Mrs. Glass is survived by one daughter, Nancy G. Lindsey and husband, Charles of Madison Heights; one son, Robert J. “Bobby” Glass, Jr. and wife, Jeanie of Lynchburg; two sisters, Louise Brown and husband, Jim of Monroe and Nancy “Nannie” Gilbert of Lynchburg and two grandsons, David Lindsey and wife, Nicole and Robert P. Glass.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Tree of Life Ministries with Pastor J. Mike Dodson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at Whitten Monelison Chapel and other times at the home of Nancy and Charles, 472 Seminole Drive, Madison Heights.
