We moved to Lynchburg in 1978 and lived in a house not far from TRBC . The following year, one Saturday morning we received a knock at our door. “Hello, my name is Marty Schulze, bus captain for TRBC just wondering if your son would like to ride the bus to Sunday School.” My son gladly accepted. He began riding that old bus every Sunday morning and a few years later his little sister joined him . They enjoyed the Bible stories, songs and, yes, the treats. Marty was passionate about bus ministry–making fast friends of his riders. All the kids loved him. Marty kept in touch with us over the many years. When I would see Marty he would always ask, “what’s my boy doing?” Marty was a good man, hard worker, great Christian and had a heart for ministry to young people. Marty will be missed but not forgotten. He is with the Lord he served. We will see him again one day and meet the many people he influenced. Our prayers are with the family and especially Donna. May God comfort your hearts and give you peace in this time. Thank you Jesus for people like Marty making a difference. Otto & Ginger
