Mary Viola Bryant Bryant Jennings

Born December 6, 1929 in Amherst County, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Julius and Lula Lawhorne Bryant and was also preceded in death by a son, Shelton Sandidge Jennings, Jr. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.

Mrs. Jennings is survived by five children, Adon Jennings of Amherst, Shelby Dawn Kendrick and husband Allen of Evington, Wanda Penny Tyree and husband George, Cindy Tilton and husband Brian, and Floyd M. Jennings and wife Carmen, all of Madison Heights; one sister, Nannie Mae Lawhorne of Amherst; a sister-in-law, Evelyn J. Duff of Madison Heights; nine grandchildren, Dana Cash, Melita Ring, Terri Crockett, Carrie Stecker, Leslie Rosequist, Lauren Wright, Tyler Jennings, Shelton Jennings III, and Jared Tilton and ten great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Amherst Cemetery with the Rev. Terry Wornstaff officiating.

The family will receive friends at Cindy’s home, 246 Dogwood Drive, Madison Heights.
